Dr. Fuzimoto is a Doctor of Holistic and Integrative Medicine, and has been practicing since 1998. She is specialized in chronic diseases, such as neurological and neuro-immunological conditions. She earned her Doctoral Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and Master's Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine in the prestigious programs at Five Branches University (FBU), and the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in California-USA, respectively. She worked as a research associate at Stanford Medical School with Acupuncture Clinical Trials, and as an Assistant Instructor at ACTCM teaching "Acupuncture of Treatment of Diseases I and II". She has done extensive training in centers of excellence through internships at the California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) Stroke Clinic, and the Zhu Neuro-Scalp Research and Education Foundation. She is also a Multiple Sclerosis Certified Specialist MSCS) with the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC), and a Certified Neuro-Scalp Acupuncture Specialist (CSCS).
Dr. Fuzimoto began her studies in Acupuncture in 1995 at the Brazilian College of Acupuncture. In 2002 she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy with emphasis in Neurology, Orthopedics and Rheumatology at the Brazilian Institute of Medicine and Rehabilitation, and received the Special Academic Laureate Diploma for the highest academic achievements of her class. Dr. Fuzimoto combines Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with modern science based resources to address such conditions. She uses Acupuncture techniques such as Zhu Scalp Acupuncture (ZSA), Auricular Acupuncture, Systemic Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, life style and exercise modifications. Her nutritional approach includes not only suggestions based on the TCM rationale, but she also uses functional supplemental-nutritional resources guided by lab exams. The combination of ancient and modern medical techniques makes it ideal to manage chronic conditions, and to improve the body's systems to an optimal functional level.
